Under the guidance of Cliff and Laurie Board, the founders of Investment Property Spain, usually known as IP Spain, our aim, through this website is to help you to understand property investing and demystify the process of purchasing investment property in Spain.

Cliff and Laurie were married in Zimbabwe in 1995 and have lived and worked in Spain since moving to Jávea in 2001. Over the years they have been involved in all aspects of the Spanish property business, forming good relationships with a multitude of professionals whilst setting up an online European Estate Agency network. In addition Laurie operates a Spanish virtual help desk helping other families to make the break from the UK. From this background IP SPAIN was born.

IP Spain is not an estate agency, like our clients we are property investors ourselves, selecting with due diligence projects that we personally wish to invest in, rejecting well in excess of 99% of those on offer. A very time consuming job, but very worthwhile as over the years we have located some of the best performing property investments in Spain, both for ourselves and for our clients.

We are actively building our own property portfolio, experiencing the whole purchase and ownership process alongside our clients as we do so, whilst further securing our own long term financial security. Because of this, throughout the complete ownership period Cliff and Laurie are able to offer their clients invaluable advice and support.

The initial desire and the concept behind IP Spain was to create our own Spanish property portfolio, as like many others we had noticed that our home had been our highest performing investment to date and the hinge pin of our own net worth. Naturally this created a desire to use property investment as the cornerstone of our future financial planning. Plenty of forward thinking individuals are now likewise including overseas property within their investment portfolio, in many cases using the capital appreciation of their home to finance this. A large proportion chooses to invest in the Spanish market place, the area that IPS specialises in.

Operating this business for many years now has allowed us several unique insights into the Spanish marketplace particularly of interest to the investor client. Our experience of working in conjunction with British buyers, together with UK and Spanish agents has allowed us to develop a vast knowledge of the buying processes in Spain, the performance potential of the various regions and of course which type of property is most likely to maximise profit, our presence in the marketplace has allowed us to cultivate key relationships with the majority of quality developers. This expertise and service is offered to you completely FREE OF CHARGE. We receive a fee for client introduction from developers, however we will not secure additional fees from any other associations or recommendations, all favorable terms negotiated are passed on to our clients.

We are extremely committed to providing you with the best information possible for each development, which we hope is reflected in the pages of this website. On each development page we offer our own opinion as to why we personally feel this development is a good investment and are always on hand to offer any advice. We are very attentive to all of our clients and try to deal with queries and information requests as quickly as is possible.
